However if you have injured your teeth, jaw or mouth you might be in need of an emergency dentist. this isn’t something you should put off and should seek medical help as soon as possible.

Do i need to see a dentist or not? is this a dental emergency? Frequently put off visiting the dentist thinking the injury isn’t that bad, this might lead to more expensive and extensive treatment in the future.

Below are examples of times you should consult Emergency dentist.

A broken tooth wash with warm water, and use a cold compress. Try to keep any pieces. Make an appointment to see an emergency dentist.

Broken Jaw, This is very serious, use a cold compress, but quickly get to an emergency room.

Knocked out tooth, Don’t pull it out. try and keep it in the socket. If it has come out put it in a glass of milk and seek a dentist or emergency room

If you have “Bitten your lip or Tongue“- Try to clean the area, and apply an icepack to help reduce the swelling. If the bleeding doesn’t stop seek a emergency dentist or go to the emergency room.

Most importantly stay calm,If possible find a friend, neighbor  or relative to help you. Frequently talking may make the problem worse, so seek help.

Next find an expert if you live near a large hospital, go to their Emergency Room, it is likely they will have an emergency dentist on call. If you live in smaller areas seek a dentist directly, preferably your own.

Otherwise you can search for an emergency dentist in the yellow pages, either in teh book or online. Ask someone to phone a local directory service to find a emergency dentist.
